Despite the fact that Andrew Chrisomalis and Guillaume Cuvelier, founders of Devos Brands, already had an impressive track record developing spirit brands, it didn’t make it any less surprising when Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds approached them to be an investor in Aviation Gin. The two had never ventured into celebrity marketing before, but they did have a clear framework and strategy for further growing the brands within their portfolio; and Reynolds fit the bill.
Now the duo is bringing their insight and experience to the Park Street Insider Podcast, as they sit down to discuss the hands-on nature of brand development, the challenges of managing a growing portfolio, and the importance of making strong connections. They explain their criteria for creating a craft spirit platform and their ascent through the craft landscape, starting with a single sake brand and leveraging it into a premium portfolio. They also discuss why they were able to maintain growth through the pandemic and their recent sale of Devos Brands for over $600 million to Diageo.
