The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority announced that its sales reached to $984.8 million in 2018, $43.6 million more than 2017. Retail sales increased by 4.5 percent and sales to restaurant sales increased by 4 percent.
The increase of sales were contributed by opening new ABC stores across the state accumulating $5.4 million in sales, improving and relocating current locations, enhancing customer service and accessibility, and increasing opening times on Sundays which increased from $14 million to $74 million in 2018.
