The week ending on April 18 saw off-premise spirit sales increase 3.2% from the previous week and 27.4% compared to the same seven-day period last year, according to data from Nielsen.
Ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktails, tequila, and gin were among the most popular purchases. While spirits led the way for the week, wines also saw an increase of 14.1%, and beer and cider saw a 12.3% increase.
17% of consumers also reported stocking up more on alcohol in the past month compared to normal buying habits.
