For the first six months of 2018, US wine imports increased in 9 percent in value but decreased 4 percent in volume. Bulk wine importers decreased by 19 percent in volume and 5 percent in value but bottled imports increased by 2 percent in volume and 10 percent in value. Sparkling wines have increased up to 10 percent in volume and 9 percent in value. Vermouth increased by 21 percent in volume and 34 percent in value, maintaining strong momentum. Wine-based mixers (such as sangria and coolers) increased by 15 percent in volume and 20 percent in value.
