Consumer’s preference for high-end and super premium products have been key factors that contributed to the increase in consumption. The popularity of brown spirits, such as straight whiskeys and bourbons, continues to rise. Whiskey brands have gained the interest of consumers who appreciate the heritage background and authenticity. The cognac, tequila, and Irish whiskey categories also made significant increases in 2018.
