Pernod Ricard announced a partnership with the super-premium bergamot-infused aperitivo Italicus. The low ABV spirit was created in 2016 by Italian mixologist Giuseppe Gallo, who will continue to be the brand’s CEO during ongoing development.
The partnership will allow Pernod Ricard to aid in accelerating the spirit’s global distribution. The deal is the latest in a series of acquisitions made by Pernod Ricard to expand its portfolio of specialty brands. Other recent acquisitions include: Monkey 47, Smooth Ambler West Virginian whiskey, Del Maguey mezcal, Rabbit Hole bourbon and Japanese gin KI NO BI.
