Throughout the past five years, organic wine consumption has increased in growth at 70 percent. This increase is up from 3.36 million 9 liter cases in 2012 to 5.72 million 9 liter cases in 2017. Old World expressions account for 73% of this, while six in every 10 bottles are red. It is easier to sell organic wines when their price point is already expected to be higher. Studies predict that the value of organic wine will outperform volume growth at a CAGR of over 10.5 percent between 2017 and 2022 amounting to an estimated $1.15 billion.
