The New Jersey Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control announced that the state’s two biggest wine and spirits wholesalers, Allied Beverage Group and Fedway Associates, agreed to pay fines of $4 million each after a two-year investigation by the agency. The investigation found that the wholesalers unfairly favored the states largest wine and spirits retailers. Both companies agreed to adopt a corrective action plan. Additionally, 20 retailers statewide will also pay a total of $2.3 million in fines for their participation in the program.
