Monarch Beverage was founded way back in 1947. Starting from humble beginnings with only six workers and one brand of beer, the company grew consistently to reach over 600 employees and over 500 brands and is the largest beer distributor in Indiana.

The company operates from its main warehouse which is actually a 500K square foot distribution center in Lawrence, Indiana. Monarch Beverage was founded in 1947 by Edwin T. French Sr. He began operations with only six employees and a small warehouse. In the beginning, he only offered one brand of beer.

After several years in operation, in 1971, the company began its wine distribution, and in 1989 added Miller Brewing Company products to its offer. In 1991 they also began carrying Coors Brewing Company products, slowly but surely becoming a major player in the beer distribution in Indiana.

They expand their services, and by 1999 they have increased to a solid presence all over Indiana. The company built its state-of-the-art storage facility in 2009 located on the east side of Indianapolis.

To make sure they are in step with changing trends, the Monarch Beverage Company went a step further. They converted their transit fleet from diesel engines to vehicles operating on natural gas, lowering the carbon emissions and operating a more environmentally-friendly fleet.

At this time, the Monarch Beverage Company has 600+ employees and constantly works on improving its services and meets the demands of over 500 clients. They are the second-tier, meaning they buy large quantities of wine and beer from their suppliers.

Monarch stores the beverages in their facilities and sells smaller quantities to retailers. The current inventory selection includes beers and wines from all over the world, for the benefit of all sides involved.
