Alliance Beverage Distributing is an alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage distributor from Michigan and is striving to become the preferred beverage distributor in the West Michigan area. Alliance Beverage Distributing was named Kent Beverage when first founded. After changing ownership and growing to include more services, it was finally named Alliance Beverage in 2013. The company employs over 350 people from the Western part of Michigan. Alliance Beverage serves about 5,000 customers from their three distribution facilities and six sales offices across West Michigan.

The company and its members work to be an active part of the West Michigan communities. Since all the Alliance Beverage Distribution Company’s employees are part of the local communities, respect towards the community is ingrained in the company’s policy and mission.

The company has a diverse portfolio with very well-known products. They also train and empower their associates in providing services with added value. The History of Alliance Beverage Distributing

Way back in 1963, a Chicagoan-born man by the name of Larry Gary got started through ownership of a bowling alley and decided to open up a beer distributorship in Grand Rapids in Michigan. He named the company Kent Beverage.

In the meanwhile, a Detroit-born Tim Sullivan ran a construction business in Grand Rapids. He eventually branched out of his construction business and bought a beer distributor business by the name of B&B Beer in the 1970s.

Both businesses thrived and were later passed on from fathers to sons. It was much later, in 2013, where the descendants of Gray and Sullivan decided to form an alliance and join their businesses under one name – the newly formed beverage distribution company was named Alliance Beverage.

By joining their forces, they were able to select the best and brightest as a part of their team. The Alliance Beverage Distributing company has over 350 employees and works with wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.

They have not changed their address and they can still be found in Grand Rapids, family-owned and operated. They have six sales offices to better serve their customers dispersed all over West Michigan.
