The National Alcohol Beverage Control Association (NABCA) captures 18 control states and 20-25 percent of the total U.S market. In NABCA, the distilled spirits category posted eight percent dollar sales growth and six percent volume growth in recent months. Domestic whiskey, Irish whiskey and tequila each gained dollar share and all outperformed total category sales growth in these control state markets. Additionally, Irish whiskey remains the fastest growing spirit with sales up 20.2 percent and volumes up 17.6 percent.
