With cocktail culture firmly in the limelight these days, bartenders have evolved with the times to provide exciting new cocktails, brought back classic cocktails and know all the latest craft products that are in right now. Like the clothing industry, everything old is new again.
Local and small-batch spirits can be seen at nearly every bar in town and continue to grow in popularity. They provide new flavors on classic simple cocktails such as the gimlet, or Tom Collins and also appeal to the more complex cocktails that have come into vogue recently that mix fresh botanicals and other wild ingredients to create buzz worthy new drinks. Mocktails and low-alcohol cocktails are also being taken much more seriously this year, as we recently reported.
