According to the IWSR, many of the trends that helped shape last year’s results remain strong. Consumer’s preference for premium spirits continues to grow. Diageo stated that their best performing brands fall into the premium-and-above brands category with one of their portfolio’s growing as much as 11 percent between 2018 and 2019. Premium Bourbon and tequila brands have seen double digit growth in their fiscal year to the 30TH April 2019 and predict that they are on their way to reaching a million case sales by 2020.
