Earlier this month a bill approving alcohol vending machines at Connecticut bars and restaurants was approved by the state house. Led by David Arconti, Democrat from Danbury, the bill allows people 21 and older to purchase beer, wine and cider at self-dispensing machines using a card obtained from the bartender. Consumers would be limited to 10 ounces of wine or 32 ounces of beer per evening from the machine. “Self-pouring technology helps support a booming industry of craft beer in our state” said Arconti. The bill passed in the house 110-34 with 6 abstaining. The bill now moves to the Senate for approval.
