The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) and the Beer Institute recently published an economic study that shows just how large of an impact the beer industry has on the U.S. economy and on jobs domestically.
By the numbers, the study found that the beer industry generates more than 2.23 million jobs across all three tiers of the market, those jobs represent $103.3 billion in wages and benefits to American workers and their families, and that the industry contributes over $350 billion to the overall economy – equal to almost 2 percent of total U.S. GDP. A staggeringly large number and one that shows just how important a strong beer industry is to the U.S. and the economy.
