Convenience store chain, 7-Eleven, is expanding its Evolution Store concept following the success of a beta store in Dallas. The Evolution Store serves as an experimental testing ground and is making its way to San Diego and Washington D.C.
The first Evolution Store included an alcove dedicated to expanded selections of wine and craft beers, as well as a growler station with rotating selections, among other non-alcohol innovations such as mobile checkout, a delivery app, and national brand electronics.
7-Eleven, which has more than 9,300 locations in the US, said the concept will be expanding in 2020 as the first one received “enthusiastic reviews, crowds of customers and sales that continue to climb.”
