The US Liquor industry had another strong year in 2016, showing solid growth across the sector. The volume of spirits sold at retail locations rose by 2.4%. Alcohol suppliers sales rose slightly higher in 2016 to $25.2 billion in the US, up 4.5% from the previous year. The spirits industry posted its seventh consecutive growth year. Spirits now make up just under 36% of the total alcohol market, with 47% going to beer and 17% to wine.
