Over the past weekend, 21% of consumers surveyed in states that began to reopen went out to a restaurant or bar, and 10% ordered a drink, according to the latest Nielsen CGA report. Typically the report covers California, Florida, New York and Illinois, but the latest edition adds Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, and Floria as they begin to reopen.
71% of consumers in those states have not returned to the on-premise. Of those, 48% said they need more time to feel comfortable, 47% said they do not feel safe going out, 47% were worried about the proximity to strangers, and 24% are self isolating.
